This charming cottage is located on the western edge of the Lake District National Park, giving you access to forests, lakes, fells, and the sandy beaches of the Cumbria Coast. The property welcomes five guests and one canine chum, making it perfect for a relaxing family getaway or holiday with friends. The property boasts stunning views of fells and has a lawn where your four-legged pal can play. In the evening, wander down to the pet-friendly pub in Ennerdale Bridge (1 mile) or pour yourself a glass of wine and snuggle up in front of the roaring wood burner.

The farmhouse is decorated in a simple style, complementing the original features such as the exposed beams and brickwork. At the heart of the home is a spacious lounge, with comfortable seating, SkyTV and a fabulous wood burner for you and your dog to relax in front of after a long walk. You’ll find everything you need to cook for the group in the country-style kitchen, to enjoy together around the elegant dining table in the formal dining room. Snuggle down to sleep in the pretty king, twin or single bedroom. To the rear of the property is the garden, with a patio and lawn. This peaceful spot boasts countryside views and is a haven for wildlife.

Just 4 miles away is the most remote lake in the entire National Park, Ennerdale Water. With its crystal-clear waters and sprawling forests, it’s a magical place to enjoy a pre-breakfast dog walk. Heading east, you’ll come to the wild and rugged Cumbria Coast. At St Bees (7 miles) you and the pup can take a brisk walk along the golden sands or stride out along the first stretch of the Coast to Coast Walk, which starts at St Bees Head.

Very rural setting just on the very edge of the Lake District. Well appointed kitchen and very spacious cottage for two adult couples. If you want somewhere comfortable and off the beaten track, then youll not find much better.

A lovely, comfortable farmhouse with plenty of space inside, a very well equipped kitchen and the bonus of incredible views from the bathroom, private patio and private garden, which was great for our dog as well as a lovely place to enjoy our morning brew.

A lovely traditional farmhouse in a peaceful area of the North Lakes, close to fells, lakes and the coast. Sofa and armchairs extremely comfortable so evenings were very relaxing. Lovely location however I feel the property needs updating and is not worth the price that I paid for it. Rather upsetting as it was booked for a special birthday.

Lovely farmhouse accommodation. Beautiful views from the rear, quiet, safe enclosed garden and large bedroom's. Although it's slightly away from the more popular parts of the lakes, we were in Buttermere/Wasdale within 30min. We had everything we needed and the supplied Nespresso pods were a nice touch. Cottage was very well equipped and clean. All was prepared for us on our arrival. We didn't need to bring anything except from food and personal essentials. Beds ready to use like in hotel plus towels left on each of bed. We have also received a welcome pack from the owner, which was very thoughtful. We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was very comfortable and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. We completed 5 Wainwright's, walked around Ennerdale water and Crummock water and went to St Bees Head and Wasdale.
