Enjoy a glamping holiday at this enchanting retreat near Dale (1 mile), Pembrokeshire, where your pets are very much welcome to join you for a rustic stay. It’s one of four similar bell tents with space for up to four guests, perfect for families and couples holidaying with their dogs. This is a particularly pretty and friendly part of Wales, with dog-welcoming pubs and cafés, plus plenty of open space for strolls by the water.
On arrival, a couple of wooden steps lead up to the decked entrance of this light and airy bell tent. Inside is a bright, open-plan space where humans and hounds can spend quality time together. There are a comfy double bed and two single beds (which can be removed if not needed), along with a cosy sofa for relaxing together after a day of adventure. Just across the way, a private wooden shed houses your bathroom facilities, complete with a shower and WC, and there’s an outdoor sink for washing up. Dogs will love sniffing around the outdoor area, where steps lead down to a fire pit and seating for relaxed evenings under the stars. There’s also a picnic bench for mealtimes and a shared field nearby. Guests have access to shared on-site facilities, including a games barn and kitchenette, and there’s parking for one car.
Locally, history buffs can take a look at Dale’s 13th-century castle (1 mile) and Lime Kilns (350 metres). Marloes Sands (3 miles, dog-friendly all year round) is a must-visit for sandy snouts and scenic views. The nearby headland (2.5 miles) with West Blockhouse Fort makes for a great scenic walk. Not forgetting the wonderfully pretty Pembrokeshire Coast Path, where you and your pets can take unforgettable walks with cliff-top panoramas and the chance to spot seals and seabirds.
