Enjoy the sight of your happy hound bounding free across the dog exercise paddock at this delightful Cumbrian cottage. Situated near Gilsland, 10 miles from Brampton, the two-bedroom property, which sleeps four guests, is one of several retreats on the site that share the field. In addition, you have your own private patio and access to a myriad of great walks, including the Hadrian’s Wall Path.
Take a step up to enter this single-storey hideaway with your pal padding in behind you. Emerge in a light, airy, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a vaulted ceiling and timber beams. Let your chum nose about and explore while you hang your coats and the dog lead and put the kettle on for a cup of tea. Settle on the comfortable seating in front of the Smart TV while your chum rests his paws on the rug, enjoying the warmth of the underfloor heating. When puppy eyes start pleading for dinner, head over to the kitchen to fill up his food bowl. Whip up something tasty for everyone else then gather at the breakfast bar to enjoy your feast. Give your canine companion a last cuddle before bed then make your way through to either the king-size bedroom or the twin, each of which has an en-suite shower room and TV. The king-size also has a sofa where you can read quietly before bed. Take your delighted dog to race in the exercise paddock before breakfast then return to relax on the patio for a spell before heading out for the day. There is private parking for two cars.
Pack a picnic, grab a handful of puppy treats and venture just 4 miles to find yourselves in the rolling Northumberland National Park. The North Pennines, with their superb dog walks, are about 10 miles away.
This property can be booked alongside House Martin Cottage to sleep an additional 2 guests.
