Watch tails wag and ears prick up when you head off to explore the 2.5-acre shared grounds here with your pup. Sleeping 10 guests, this luxurious, five-bedroom holiday retreat also benefits from an enclosed deck where you can soak in a hot tub while your furry friend warms his fur in the sunshine. Situated near Berriew, 8 miles from Welshpool, it makes the perfect base for a dog-loving larger group wishing to discover the beauty of Mid Wales.
Arrive to find your pup-friendly accommodation is in fact two adjoining lodges, both capturing far-reaching views across the rolling countryside. Each has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with high ceilings, Smart TVs, chic kitchens and ample space for whipping up feasts for hungry hounds and humans. The accommodation is perfect for spending special time with your family, friends and paw-some pal. Settle your contented canine in the living spaces of either lodge before wandering off to your own bedrooms. The main lodge has four super-king-sizes, three of which can also be made up as twins by advanced request and one with a Smart TV and en-suite shower room. There are also two family shower rooms. The other has a super-king-size bedroom, shower room and sofa bed for two extra guests. A utility area in the main lodge is the perfect place to rinse dog towels after muddy walks. Put paws and feet up on the glass-fronted balcony on summer days and fire up the BBQ on balmy evenings. There is parking for three cars, plus additional space in a car park.
Pick up the lead and head 4.5 miles from the house to pick up Offa’s Dyke Path, which runs along the border of much of England and Wales. The beautiful Shropshire Hills, with their many great dog walks, are just 10 miles away.
