We found the property really comfortable. The mezzanine bedroom was a good size with plenty of drawers and hanging space. Although right by the A1 service station with plenty of traffic we found no noise or disturbance. The large shared garden was peaceful and a great combination of seating and wild borders. Having the hotel/pub next door was a great asset and we ate there several times. The shop in the service station was very handy. Great waking along the coast and on Holy island. All in all a very successful stay. Hide

Great weekend getaway property. Very well equipped making the stay very easy. A pretty little cottage little being the operative word. The whole of the downstairs (bathroom, kitchen, dining and sitting areas) was no larger than a reasonably sized lounge. (The photos in the listing were somewhat deceptive). The 2-seat settee was rather small for two adults and was not particularly comfortable. The single chair was again oRead moren the small size and very uncomfortable. Having a third person there would be quite crowded. A few minor issues - a layer of dust and a dead spider on one of the dinner plates in the cupboard (not a pleasant welcome) and a couple of minor issues with bathroom fittings, which were promptly addressed. A good provision of tableware. Upstairs the double bed was very soft (too soft for us), and the single bed very hard and very uncomfortable. A good sized chest of drawers, but no wardrobe the only clothes hanging space were two hooks on the wall. Hide

A pleasant and well appointed little cottage with an extremely comfortable bed! Note: It's right next to a services stop so there are trucks positioned outside for periods of time.

Great little place from which to explore Northumberland, super close to lovely beaches and Holy Island. Very well equipped kitchen, bright and airy accommodation - perfect for a couple or family of 3. Beautiful shared garden, which we discovered by accident. 30 seconds walk from petrol station shop and from a nice pub. The only downside is that theRead more property sits right on the A1, so if sleeping with the windows open, the road is quite noisy - take ear plugs! Hide
