An outdoor adventure base built for pets and people alike, this fantastic stone cottage provides the perfect setting for all kinds of Northumberland adventures. Leave no stick unfetched in its National Landscape surroundings, letting your dog lead the way along long-distance coastal walking routes, fantastic nature trails, and wide, sandy beaches. This abode is positioned right on the A1, keeping you well-connected to the towns, villages, and abundance of beautiful beaches found along England’s north-east coastline.
On arrival, make your way to the shared mudroom, where a hot shower allows you to give wet fur and muddy boots a good clean. From there, move into the open-plan living space on the cottage’s ground floor. This lovely area is instantly inviting for man and dog alike, complete with soft sofas and a Smart TV. Let your canine bestie snooze away in the corner while you prepare meals, dine, and unwind. There’s a ground-floor shower room here too, before you make your way up to the triple bedroom on the mezzanine floor. Outside, a private, enclosed garden offers space for Fido to sniff, roam, and play, with furniture for you to sit out and enjoy a morning coffee or sundowner. Elsewhere on-site, you’re also welcome to explore the other shared gardens, which include a fire pit.
An area rich in heritage and wonderful wildlife, you’ll never run out of exciting excursions during your stay. Pop Rover on the lead and begin exploring - make your way over to Lindisfarne (6 miles) via the Holy Island Causeway (2 miles), head inland to discover the pretty woodlands around St Cuthbert’s Cave (6.5 miles) or spend time getting to know Goswick Sands (3 miles), a pet-welcoming beach with miles of sandy shoreline for games of fetch.
