A lovely cottage which had everything we needed. Although next to the A1 and a petrol station we were hardly disturbed by traffic noise.

Very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. Location is great for exploring Northumberland by car. The. Cottage is cosy, well equipped and dog friendly with off road parking .We loved the mud room for washing the dogs. Location was spot on for visiting areas up and down the A1, however it would have been good to know the slip road to the property was used by very heavy vehicles to park up over night or to visit the service station next, which we were told of a service station close to the property but not next door. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I must mentiRead moreon the points raised above. Hide

The cottage is well situated for exploring the surrounding area. It is very close to the A1 (single carriageway), but this didnt affect us. The noise levels werent an issue despite my partner being a light sleeper. You have a nice food pub on your doorstep and a petrol station very close too. The double driveway proved very useful as my partner hadRead more to come up separately due to work which we werent aware of when we first booked so that was a nice surprise. The dog secure patio was very useful also. The cottage itself also is very nice and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Hide

The cottage was easy to find and easy to access. It was beautifully laid out and decorated. With all facilities we needed for a short stay. With big comfy sofas and extra blankets for our two dogs as a really nice touch. We didnt use the log burner but can imagine how cosy this would be during colder months. The beautifully decorated bedroomRead more is on an open gallery plan above the living room and a stair gate had even been provided for dog or child safety. We were initially concerned about the locations proximity to the A1 but other than hearing the whoosh of a couple of lorries in the quiet of the night time, it actually wasnt a problem for us. The location was an excellent base for travelling to all the surrounding areas we wanted to visit and literally a few mins drive to Holy Island and Berwick. Theres also a really nice pub next door that serves food for when youre done with travelling for the day. There was an information pack giving us details of everything we needed to know including details of use of the laundry room and the mud room for the dogs which is a brilliant addition. They even have dog tags with the address to borrow. Theyve thought of everything. There is a secure small patio attached to the cottage and also a really lovely and well laid out shared garden which we seemed to have to ourselves for our stay. Our dogs were very relaxed there. I would recommend the cottage to others and would definitely look to stay there again if revisiting the area. I was sad to say goodbye to it. Hide

We stayed here with 3 terrier type dogs and had a brilliant time. The facilities were perfect for us and really close to every where we wanted to visit. The courtyard was great and the extended garden area was loved by the dogs. The kitchen facilities and equipment provided was wonderful. We werent missing anything. The extra blankets providedRead more for the dogs was a nice idea, although we brought our own. We would highly recommend people to stay here. Hide

This little cottage was fantastic, perfect for us (2 adults and 1 retriever). Lovely, bright and spacious living area. The property stayed quite cool inside on warm days which was a big plus especially for keeping the dog cool. We loved the enclosed patio as this allowed the dog a little more freedom to move in/out as he pleased. There was also a lRead moreovely large communal garden with a fire pit and benches. We only discovered the mud room on our last day, wow, what a great little resource for muddy paws. The location is perfect for visits to Holy Island and Berick-upon-Tweed, with a lovely inn next door for dining out. (Top tip: The inn also has signage on the bar regarding the safe crossing times for Holy Island.) Hide
