A welcoming eco-conscious cottage sleeps four across a double and a twin bedroom. Tucked away on a peaceful smallholding at Strumble Head in Pembrokeshire, it’s one of three beautifully crafted rural escapes surrounded by greenery, sea views and big skies. The cottage is not just comfortable – it’s planet-friendly too, with solar thermal energy, a warming wood burner and acres of surrounding meadows for your curious canine to explore.
Inside, you’ll be greeted by a light and inviting lounge/diner with a lovely wood burner. The Smart TV provides entertainment for cosy nights in, while the handcrafted kitchen makes mealtimes a pleasure. Natural touches like slate floors, wooden beams, and clay-painted walls add to the earthy charm. Downstairs, a bright twin bedroom with garden views and an en-suite shower room makes for a comfortable stay. Upstairs, you’ll find a double bedroom with countryside views stretching towards Garn Fawr, plus its own en-suite bathroom. Please note, the first floor is accessed via a steep staircase, which may not be suitable for every guest. Step outside into the gravel courtyard, where you can dine alfresco. Dogs need to be on the lead around the smallholding, but you’ll also have access to acres of meadows and woodlands to roam for morning walkies. Keep in mind the smallholding’s resident animals might also drop by for a friendly hello. Private parking is available for two cars.
Sniff out scenic footpaths leading directly to the coast (1.5 miles away) and into nearby villages. Further afield, Goodwick (3 miles) is an excellent location for seal-spotting, while Fishguard (4.5 miles) offers craggy cliffs and peaceful coves to explore together. Be sure to trot over to Strumble Head Lighthouse (3 miles) or, for year-round sandy frolics with Fido, the cove at Pwllgwaelod (9.5 miles) is a dog-friendly shoreline with views across Fishguard Harbour.
