Sleeping four people across two bedrooms and welcoming two faithful friends, it’s an ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends yearning for a peaceful retreat to call home while they discover the raw beauty of the Lake District together. During the day, take your dog for a walk to Stock Ghyll Force, a picturesque waterfall in the beautiful town of Ambleside. In the evening, come home to the cottage’s private deck to enjoy al fresco dinner while your pups run freely.

Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by an inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area with a cosy wood burner. Slip onto a sofa and take a moment to appreciate the stylish decor before heading to the smart kitchen area to whip up something tasty for your loved ones. Get everyone together to eat at the wooden dining table, or make your way outside to dine alfresco on the cottage’s lovely deck. Afterwards, sip a glass of wine and soak up the relaxing garden views while your pups play. Alternatively, head back to the lounge area and relax by the wood burner while your pups snooze contentedly at your feet. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find two chic bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a double bed and an en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom is a stylish twin. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the impressive layout. Private parking for two cars is provided.

Take your pups for a walk through the enchanting Grizedale Forest (9.5 miles), where you’ll discover stunning artworks strategically placed among the trees. Alternatively, head off for a hike at Tarn Hows (13.5 miles) with your dogs by your side. Spot the rare belted Galloway cattle and sturdy Herdwick sheep grazing peacefully by the tarn''s edge.
