The cottage sits within a vast, private estate and boasts unspoilt views across the national park. Inside, the stylish holiday home is decorated in tones to reflect the surrounding landscape and features statement pieces of furniture and carefully chosen accessories and artwork. The inviting lounge provides a cosy retreat after a long walk with the woofer, with a roaring wood burner, sumptuous seating, and a Smart TV. Alternatively, pour yourself a glass of wine and relax on the porch at the front of the property as the sun sets over the mountains. The cheerful kitchen/diner is a delight to cook in, with vibrant paintwork, fabulous views and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. There is also a wooden table set next to the window and ample space for the pup to set up camp. Both bedrooms have been tastefully decorated and enjoy far-reaching rural views. A spacious, wood-panelled bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed garden is laid to lawn, with plenty of space for a game of fetch. You’ll also find furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining. Private parking is available for up to four cars. Please note, the cottage is reached via a steep, well-maintained track.

Tomintoul is part of the sprawling Glenlivet Estate and you’ll find a whole host of outdoor activities on offer nearby, including gorge walking and mountain biking. Woof-welcoming attractions within easy reach include Balmoral Castle (24 miles), the Scottish home of the Royal family, and the Strathspey Steam Railway (28 miles), which journeys between Aviemore and Broomhill.
