Set tails wagging at this delightful Pembrokeshire holiday home, one of five dwellings on a site that was previously a dairy farm. Perfect for couples, the retreat is just 4 miles from the popular seaside village of Amroth, where you’ll find a flat, sandy beach. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for satisfying walks that’ll make your pets think all their Christmases have come at once. Or enjoy day trips to historical towns like Tenby (11.5 miles) and Pembroke (16.5 miles), both of which have castles you can visit with dogs on leads. The Sporting Chance pub has now reopened offering delicious pub food, family and pet friendly, a 5 minute walk away.

The cottage-style retreat offers comfortable open-plan living, with a lounge, kitchen and dining room all in one space. With windows on two sides, the room feels airy, spacious and bright, while carefully chosen decorative touches create a cheerful atmosphere. You’ll have comfy recliners for humans and plenty of floor space for your furry friends to sprawl out by the flame-effect electric fire. The modern kitchen is perfect for meal prep, picnic packing and dog feeding, and when it’s time to turn in, a sumptuous super-king-size bedroom awaits with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the patio garden creates a safe haven for morning stretches or enjoying a meal under the stars.

Amroth offers dog-friendly pubs and cafes for refreshment during your stay. While its beach does have some dog restrictions in summer, a little further along the coast you’ll have Telpyn Beach (5 miles), which is dog-friendly all year round. Locally, it’s worth sniffing out the area around Laugharne (6.5 miles) where you can take pretty walks taking in woodland and countryside sections. Ragwen Point walk (6 miles) is another option that both humans and doggies will love, with stunning views across Carmarthen Bay as you stroll over the cliffs, lapping up all that fresh air.

Spotlessly clean pretty cottage. The bed was VERY comfortable too! Lovely size cottage plus the dog walking private area was great. Parking was good and it was very useful having a washing machine/dryer on site. Met some great other guests too. All in all highly recommended x

Enjoyed our stay. Very clean, comfy and quiet. Take a night light or a torch as cottage is very dark at night. Super dog field at the back of the property to walk the dogs. A nice enough stay, quiet location. The facilities were sufficient and the dog walking meadow was lovely. My only issue is that when I saw a picture of the property, I had no idea that it wasn't all mine. It was like a flat I used to live in with an upstairs flat above me. Peaceful outside, not so much inside at times. That said, pleasant enough but I think my dog enjoyed it more than me. Hide

Beautiful cottage very well appointed and spacious. Plenty of wardrobe and storage, for both clothing and food. Spotlessly clean on arrival. The dog walk was fabulous and just outside our back door, dogs had a wonderful time.

We stayed at the 'Stable Cottage' and it was truly gorgeous. The interior was really clean and the furnishings exactly met needs and were above expectations. Our dog was also welcomed and the small walled patio area was great at putting our minds at ease that he couldn't escape. There are 3 very small steps to enter the cottage (if anyone visitiRead moreng has mobility issues), but there is a good solid handrail. The hosts were great when we sought advice/help and they have a wealth of local knowledge should you wish to go exploring. Even though we visited during a wet and blustery October we thoroughly enjoyed our time at 'Stable Cottage' Hazel Grove. Would we recommend the property to friends and family - yes 100%. Hide

The cottage itself was beautiful and well equipped but the local pub failed to open most of the time we were there and certainly didnt provide food as advertised. Also, the local co op was closed when we were there which meant a 20 minute drive to any amenities. For all that, we had a lovely quiet break away.
