Have a ball with Fido by your side at this incredible romantic rural retreat in the heart of the countryside on the Holkham Estate, perfect for a couple and their furry friend. Take the lead and explore the estate or head out for walkies on the beach, then soak in the roll-top bath before relaxing in the garden area taking in the stunning surroundings.

There are two holiday homes in this amazing, quirky Grade-I listed property, with elegant interiors and country views. Step inside the lounge/diner with a plush sofa to curl up on in front of the TV or with a good book, and a dining table just for two. The chic kitchen is tucked away at the end with a combination oven and a two-ring hob for cooking meals. There’s also a cloakroom and the WC on the ground floor. Climb the twisting staircase up to the first floor and your bedroom, with a king-size bed and a luxurious roll-top bath, which can be curtained off. Please be mindful of the low ceilings and limited space due to the character of the building. Heading outside, take a seat at the bistro table amid the gorgeous grounds of the estate.

Grab the lead and head out on a wonderful walk exploring the historic parkland and woodland on the estate. You’ll also find a lake and a deer park, as well as bike hire, a gift shop, and a restaurant within the park. To give Fido a good run, head to the coast at Holkham Beach (6.5 miles away) and walk the 3.5 miles through the forest or on the beach to Wells-next-the-Sea stopping off at the beach cafe to treat Fido to an ice cream, then head into town for some fish and chips.

We knew it was small but we werent prepared for just how tiny the accommodation was. Very cosy indeed only suitable for a short break

Very warm on a cold wet visit but like others disappointed to find the log burner and logs did not exist. Would like to have known "bathroom" on the top floor did not include a WC though it was not a big issue but i do find the images on the website key when booking and reviewing where to go and we were disappointed that these portray spacious or sRead morehall we say reasonable accommodation that in fact is very confined. The sofa is a the best example of this where it is a squeeze for 2 where the photo makes it look wide enough for 4. I guess ideal for 1 maybe 2 nights but we cut our 3 nights short and left a day early due to the cramped living space. Hide

2nd weekend away on the Holkham Estate. Beautiful place for a weekend away. Accommodation ideal for 2 and a dog. Really cosy. Thoroughly recommend.

The property was very cosy/comfortable, but it was rather small. The welcome pack was much appreciated. That said it was ideally located and we were able to have our dog there. A light over the stairs would be useful at night, as the toilet is downstairs and some form of waterproof covering under the bath is needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very quirky location. It was a surprise long weekend away for my wife and the fun was her reaction to arrival at the Triumphal Arch.

The cottage was smaller than expected for the money. Some of the interior windows and the mirror above the bath had not been cleaned. The ice box in the fridge needed defrosting as the door would not shut properly. The hamper was lovely and the location was ideal.

A great cottage in a fantastic location. We enjoy walking and so to be able to walk to Burnham Market and Wells (through the Holkham Estate) and around the Holkham Estate were a delight for us. On the accuracy of property information on your website question, this is marked down on a couple of errors, none of which caused us an issues, but nevertheless stating that there were two toilets and there is only one and also saying about a starter bundle of logs for a non-existence log burner may leave some people disappointed. All the above amazing . The only thing we could seem to do was enter through the gates with the key pad 2468 ? So we drove all the way round to get to The Victoria .

The information about the layout & numbers of toilets was not clear. Would have like to have known just one WC downstairs- website indicated two WCs. Availability of EV was key reason for selecting property, parking voucher and 10% discount at Holkham properties also a good bonus. Welcome pack was lovely & we would suggest adding Holkham dog treatsRead more to encourage purchases. Butter/margarine would be helpful addition as well as info as to what pack contains, so know what do/dont need to bring. While lovely accommodation would feel cramped if weather wet/cold. Needs a bedside table. Also small wall mounted drying rack for washing up stuff needed as no where to drain . Tea lights provided and matches should be removed immediately from the living room due to severe fire hazard
