This charming property, situated among peaceful Suffolk countryside on a farm just 11 miles from popular Southwold, is perfect for the whole family – and that includes the pups! Sleeping four over two bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs to sleep, it won’t be long before you’re all feeling rested and ready to explore this lovely area. Head to Framlingham Castle (14 miles) where imaginations can run wild and you can see spectacular countryside views from the wall walk.
Step into this former stable and you’re welcomed by neutral open-plan interiors. Stunning flooring, wood beams and vaulted ceilings give this cottage a homely feel. Get cosy on the sofas in front of the TV, the pups snoozing by your feet, or enjoy an al fresco drink in the shared courtyard on warmer evenings. Each cottage’s section is enclosed by trellis and planters containing pretty flowers, so you still have some privacy. The compact kitchen has everything you need to cook up hearty breakfasts to keep you going all day; eat at the dining table that sits four. The king-size room boasts earthy tones and wonderful exposed beams along with an en-suite wet room and a bath. The twin room features lovely pastel tones and has its own en-suite shower room, so there shouldn’t be any morning queues!
Take long walkies along the farm trails on your doorstep; discover picnic areas and ponds to explore. The Denes Beach (11.5 miles) welcomes dogs all year round and is ideal for kids to make sandcastles, while Dunwich Heath and Beach (13 miles) is better for bracing walks. Camel Park Oasis (5 miles) is a dog-friendly animal park where your children can meet camels, go on llama walks and play in the play areas, all while the pups watch on with delight. With Fly Fishing at Willow Lakes and Course Fishing at Halesworth Lakes, the area is an Anglers dream.
