This charming property, situated in rural Suffolk yet just 11 miles from popular seaside resort Southwold, is the perfect romantic bolthole for two – and your pups, of course! Sleeping you both in a tranquil king-size bedroom and with space for up to two dogs to join you, you’ll soon feel relaxed and ready to get out and explore. Set on a farm, you’ve got walkies abound on your doorstep through fields, pond areas and beautiful scenery, but also a lovely outdoor space to enjoy on balmy evenings.
As you step into this converted Victorian stable, you’re greeted by a cosy open-plan living area. Wooden beams, vaulted ceilings and neutral tones beckon you to sink into the sofa in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire, the pups by your feet, as you watch some TV to wind down. Cook up a storm in the quaint and compact kitchen area and eat at the dining table, or head out to your enclosed part of the shared courtyard to dine alfresco. Pretty flowers and trellis separates each cottage’s area, offering privacy in this sociable space. At bedtime, snuggle into bed among peaceful blue tones; there’s an en-suite bathroom with shower over the bath for added convenience too.
Go wine tasting at Valley Farm Vineyards (1 mile) where the dogs are welcome too – although we’re not sure what they’d think of the wine! If you prefer bracing walks, stroll along the beach at Walberswick (12 miles) where the pups can sniff around to their hearts’ content. Explore Framlingham Castle (14 miles) where the wall walk offers spectacular views over the countryside, or enjoy a leisurely stroll around the shops, pubs and cafes in Southwold (11 miles) where many of them will welcome your canine companions with open arms.
