Make memories to last a lifetime in this unique holiday home in St Ives. Sleeping six guests and two hounds, it’s the perfect bolthole for large families and groups of friends and has a sociable, open-plan layout that’s ideal for entertaining. The property is right in the heart of the town, giving you easy access to independent shops and eateries, as well as the woof-welcoming Bamaluz Beach.

The reverse-level apartment is set across the first and second floors and has a quirky style, with vibrant soft furnishings and artwork sitting alongside striking original features. Enter via a fabulous stained-glass front door and tiled hallway, before climbing the stairs to the first-floor bedrooms – two of which have en-suite shower rooms – and the family bathroom. A further set of stairs lead to the piece de resistance: a stunning lounge/kitchen/diner with an impressive, vaulted ceiling, exposed brickwork, and polished floorboards. Comfortable seating sits within the glass extension, where you can unwind after a long walk and take in the far-reaching views. Up a single step is the dining area, where you can enjoy memorable mealtimes as a group. The property has no outdoor space, but with the harbour and beaches within 0.5 miles, you’ll have plenty of options when it comes to dog walks.

Explore the cobbled streets of St Ives to discover fascinating galleries, studios and boutiques, all showcasing the town’s local talent. Pick up a souvenir from your holiday, before wandering down to the picturesque harbour, where you’ll find numerous paw-friendly bars and restaurants overlooking the water. From here, you and your salty sea dogs can hop on a boat to cruise around the bay or go wildlife watching at Seal Island. The South West Coast Path passes through the town, providing endless clifftop paths to investigate with your four-pawed explorers.

The Old Bakery flat is great for families or 3 couples, However not suitable for less able as there are 2 flights of stairs to the living space. The bedrooms are on the first floor and living and kitchen on the second, these are also quite steep. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms clean as was the whole flat. Property has a lovely atmosphere and a lovely surprise to find views of the harbour beyond the church. The steep wooden staircases were more challenging than anticipated. Living area on second floor and all toilets/ bathrooms and bedrooms on first floor so using the stairs a lot.

A beautiful place to stay, with lovely views over town out to sea, the high standard of cleanliness and quality of furniture and linen very good. Accommodation very spacious for family holidays and little welcome extras so thoughtful, would return without doubt the best we have stayed in St Ives in 42 years.

The Old Bakery Flat is a beautiful space and the owners have gone to great lengths to decorate it with interesting paintings, pieces of art and stained glass, however we felt that flat was rather 'style over substance'. For example, whilst there are a series of 5 huge stoneware jars under the TV, there's no tea pot. There are lovely things to look Read moreat, but it is lacking in the essentials that would have improved our stay: no little bowls to put nuts or crisps in, no trays, no boards for cheese... no dishwasher, etc and yet there are 11 egg cups! Why 11 when the flat only sleeps 6? Elements of the flat were delightful, like the spacious sofa under the glass roof, which allows you to bask in the sun and enjoy the views across the roof tops of St Ives, but again, other elements were sadly lacking. We have a king-size bed at home, so this meant the double beds felt very small. There's room in the master bedroom for a king-size bed, and I think most people expect this now. The bath towels feel old and thin, and in my house would be used as hand towels! They're too small - bath sheets would be nice. Hide

An amazing find with stunning views of the town and harbour. We loved the upstairs space and quality of furniture etc. The bifold door made up for lack of outdoor space. Comfortable and roomy for the five of us. A central location but quiet.
