We recently had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Jingles cottage at Penrose Burden Cottages, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The cottage itself was incredibly cozy, spotlessly clean, and so well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The fireplace was a real highlight, not only did it make the evenings Read morewonderfully warm and inviting, but it was also restocked very quickly, which made it even more enjoyable. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and well looked after throughout our stay. Their thoughtfulness really shone through, especially with the wonderful welcome treats fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, along with special doggy treats, which was such a thoughtful touch (Jess our labby felt very welcome). The surroundings were equally impressive. The area was beautifully peaceful and serene, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Being in a dark zone meant we could see the stars and even the milky way so clearly at night, a magical experience that made the stay even more memorable. Overall, this cottage was a perfect getaway spot, and we cant recommend it highly enough. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our return visit! Hide
