A lovingly restored barn conversion nestled in the sweeping emerald hills of the Camel Valley in Mid Cornwall; this appealing traditional hideaway is the ideal relaxing retreat for small families and friends with a couple of tufty-pawed companions in tow. Get tails wagging with a trip to Daymer Bay where playful pups can crash through the shoreline and roll in the grassy sand dunes backing the beach, then dry off soggy paws stretched out by the crackling wood burner.

Located at the end of a cobble-lined path, this stonework cottage expertly blends rustic charm and contemporary sophistication. Towel down your sandy pup then enter the spacious kitchen/diner/lounge area with feature exposed wooden beams and high-vaulted ceilings. Perch at the dining table and browse your doggy action shots snapped along the coastline or assist the resident chef as they prepare some locally sourced treats in the sleek shaker kitchen. Throw open the door and tuck into an al fresco feast with a magnificent countryside backdrop or cosy up under a blanket and stargaze with Fido curled in your lap. Retreat to the lounge area and unwind with a family movie on the Smart TV, then rest up in the bright bedrooms consisting of a king and a flexible twin/king.

Grab the camera and make a beeline for the jagged headland of Tintagel where your curious hound can sniff out the ruins of Tintagel Castle perched on Cornwall’s North Coast, 12 miles. Head to the crystal-clear waters of Hawker’s Cove for a scenic beachfront scamper and a refreshing dip, 17 miles, then venture to Padstow refuel with a classic cream tea at a harbourside cafe where your parched pup will be welcomed with a bowl of water and a treat, 16 miles.

A lovely cottage, in a great location, with beautiful views. Ideally located for access to the Camel Trail, and a short distance from Bodmin Moor and the North Cornwall Coast.

An excellent cottage which is well equipped and spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay in. The location overlooking the Camel Valley is blissfully peaceful ideal for exploring North Cornwall. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. In the cottage we stayed in (there are a number) there was a pretty front garden which is quite small, justRead more enough room for our two Golden Retrievers to sniff the early morning air, certainly not a run around garden. Check in time was 5pm, which is quite late in the day, however, we were able to access the cottage at 4pm after talking to Jane, the owner. All in all, the quality of accommodation was excellent and I would recommend a visit- we would return inthe future. Hide

Fantastic cottage, beautifully decorated and well equipped with comfortable beds and amazing views over the Camel Valley. The north coast of Cornwall was in east reach with great Sandy beaches and beautiful fishing ports, as was Tintagel and Lanhydrock House. We had a great time and would highly recommend this cottage.
