Located on the border of the North York Moors National Park, this characterful three-bedroom single-story barn conversion comes with charming original features, excellent on-site leisure facilities and easy access to some of the country’s most spectacular and dramatic scenery. The perfect rural retreat for friends, family and their furry companions.
Rustic charm greets you as soon as you enter the door, where exposed stone walls support chunky wooden beams, and comfortable plush furnishings sit alongside a farmhouse-style kitchen and dining table. The cosy wood burner will be a sure-fire hit with the four-legged members of your party, and for those who prefer to snooze in beds, two inviting bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a double bunk room await. Outside, there's access to a shared courtyard and garden with plenty of private corners to sit and relax with your favourite book. Alternatively, try out the fabulous pool house where you can take a dip in the 6-metre exercise pool and finish off with a steam in the sauna and a soak in the hot tub.
Take a stroll around the pretty village of Newton-on-Rawcliffe, stopping off at the local pub along the way, where four legs are as welcome at the bar as two. Walk the footpath to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s Levisham Station (1 mile) and take a journey back in time on one of their beautifully restored steam trains. Just 3 miles north of the village, leave no stick unfetched in the beautiful Cropton Forest or head deep into the national park where faithful friends can join their owners along the many footpaths that crisscross this stunning landscape. For a traditional day out at the seaside, Whitby is 18 miles away, where those with hounds should head to Tate Hill Beach for unrestricted year-round access to the golden sands.
