This fabulous property, situated 5.5 miles from Llandovery, is perfect for family or friends’ reunions – not leaving the pups behind, of course! Sleeping eight across four tranquil bedrooms and with plenty of space for up to two dogs to stretch out, it won’t be long before you’re off exploring the stunning countryside around you. If you’ve got little legs (both human and canine) with you, take the 2-mile circular walk from the impressive Cynghordy Viaduct (0.5 miles), or if you’re up for a challenge try the 7-mile Heart of Wales Line Trail that also starts there.
The property, which can be booked with other holiday homes on site to sleep a maximum of 29, is spacious and comfortable. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright with the kitchen feeling like the hub of the home; trendy spotlighting and glossy worktops make it a pleasure to cook in. Everyone can eat at the large breakfast island or enjoy a more formal meal at the long wooden dining table. Retire to the sofas and watch TV while the pups lounge by your feet, or take advantage of the shared indoor hot tub to soak away those aches from hiking.
Straight from the front door you can take a 3-mile walk up the valley to Cynnant hill for wonderful views. There are plenty of forests to wander through that the pups will love sniffing around in. The Dolaucothi Gold Mines (16.5 miles) are perfect for a family day out, where you can see remnants of the Romans’ gold mining techniques but also take in beautiful views of the Cothi Valley. The National Showcaves Centre for Wales (26 miles) is also not to be missed with ten attractions within three different caves offering a unique underground experience.
