This lovingly refurbished 1980s vintage showman's van presents quirky accommodation in a peaceful rural location, perfect for enjoying a romantic getaway for two.

Located in the charming Sussex village of Bodiam, this unique 1980s showman’s van enjoys a rural setting. Cosy and compact, it sleeps two in one bedroom and welcomes your four-legged friend too. Surrounded by spectacular countryside views, it offers the perfect romantic escape for a couple and their canine companion. With an abundance of footpaths and countryside walks straight from the front door, both you and your hound will soon fall in love with this peaceful location.

You will access this unique property by a wooden ramp, into a warm and welcoming living area, the perfect space for unwinding after a long walk. While you cosy up on the armchairs, Fido will snooze at your feet, dreaming of the day’s adventures. Cook up a storm in the kitchen area and enjoy a romantic meal together, just the two of you and Fido. Remember to pack your canine’s bed and favourite blankets so that he feels at home, too. An additional utility area offers handy space for storing coats, boots and dog leads. End the day by watching the sunset from the covered veranda.

There are plenty of walks direct from this holiday let including a short stroll to Bodiam Castle (0.5 miles). Discover the local farm shop and cafe or head to the pub (1.5 miles) where treats, water and a friendly welcome awaits your canine. Stroll to Kent & Sussex Steam Railway and hop aboard to visit the market town of Tenterden. Further afield, head to the coast at Hastings (11 miles) or explore the cobbled streets of the medieval town, Rye (13 miles). For those muddy paws, and pampered pups, there are dog grooming facilities just 2 miles away.

A wonderful hideaway. The on-site Hub cafe and walking distance Castle Inn were both excellent. The recommendation for The White Dog was spot on. We were lucky to have clear nights and the stargazing was fantastic without all that urban light pollution.

Had a great stay, the views from the outside decked area were fantastic, both the outside and inside seating areas were comfortable.
