Sleeping two guests and two darling doggies, the property is perfect for a romantic walking trip with canine companionship.

A restored showman’s carriage, this remarkable home has been decorated with a retro and glamorous decor in mind, featuring a vintage tiled fireplace and pretty floral prints throughout. Enter the cosy lounge through unique carriage doors, relaxing on the sofas whilst your dogs curl up in front of the wood burner-effect gas fire. The double bed can be found neatly tucked in at the back of the carriage, with sliding doors providing you with a bit of privacy from your four-legged pals. In the morning, you and your guest can don the comfy dressing gowns supplied, perfect for waking up and enjoying the day’s first cup of coffee on the covered veranda.

Wander up to Bodiam Castle, an English Heritage site just 1 mile along a country road. Surrounded by an impressive moat, the grounds of this medieval castle are a great spot for a morning dog walk. The property is a lot more spacious than we were expecting because the main lounge and bathroom are external to the carriage although you dont go outside to get to them as the whole set up is under one big canopy. Everything is very tastefully done, particularly the interior decor of the carriage, the table and benches on the decking, and the plantRead moreing (flowers, shrubs and climbers) that has been used to embellish the whole structure. John the owner is very helpful and the site is spot on. Hide

What a clever idea, years of work to create this concept, genuine old showman s vans, beautifully restored and augmented with modern facilities, yet retaining the character of a bygone age. All in a delightful setting of gardens and ponds, within a quiet and peaceful farm disturbed only by the bird song and the distant sounds of the heritage steam Read morerailway in the valley and complimented by the nearby on-site shop and cafe. We enjoyed our stay despite initial problems with heating & plumbing. Difficult to contact owner as phone signal poor, but he came out to fix issues & was friendly. There was a promise of a gift, locally made cider, thats no longer available, but still mentioned in welcome info. The bedding was disappointing, flimsy duvet and no blankets so chilly,Read more &only 1 pillow per guest. A great shower & plenty of space for 2 with comfy seating in beautiful quiet location.
