Pet-friendly cottages & accommodation in Saundersfoot, West Wales
A picture-postcard harbour village situated north of Tenby in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Saundersfoot is brimming with seaside beauty. Home to miles of golden sands, a charming working harbour and an abundance of independent shops and friendly eateries, this bustling Welsh fishing village is perfect for fun-filled holidays in the sun. Best of all, it has recently been awarded the Best Dog-Friendly Village in Pembrokeshire!
Saundersfoot beach is a lovely stretch of sand where humans can enjoy a variety of water sports, build sandcastles and tuck into an ice cream, while canines bound along the shoreline. The main section of the beach has a dog ban from May to the end of October, however, Glen Beach which is accessed via the harbour, allows dogs at all times. When the tide is very low it is possible to walk to Monkstone Beach from here, which again is pet-friendly all year round.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path also passes through Saundersfoot and woofers are sure to enjoy discovering new sights and smells along the flat path leading to Coppet Hall and Wisemans Bridge, before resting their paws in one of the many dog-friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants in the village.
