Dog-friendly accommodation in Amroth
If miles of golden sand to chase frisbees on, and boundless depths of glistening surf to doggy paddle in sounds like the perfect getaway in Wales for you and your four-legged friend, then treat yourself to a stay in one of our dog-friendly cottages in Amroth. This small seaside village on the southern tip of Pembrokeshire is a tail-wagging spot for a staycation, with a beautiful, sandy beach that pups will go barking mad for. Although seasonal dog restrictions are in place along the central and western end of the beach, the rest allows canine chums all year round.
Amroth Beach is also famous for its submerged forest: at low tide, tree stumps can be seen poking through the sand, and fossilised antlers, nuts, animal bones and Neolithic flints have been discovered here. During low tide, it’s possible to walk all the way to Wiseman’s Bridge along the shore. Or if you prefer a longer jaunt, the beach marks the start of the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path. When you’ve had your fill of sand and sea, there are plenty of other attractions near our dog-friendly accommodation in Amroth, including Colby Woodland Gardens and Folly Farm, and a little further afield you will find Oakwood Theme Park and the towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Our dog-friendly guide to Wales highlights even more great places to visit during your stay.
