This delightful cottage sleeps four guests and welcomes either one large dog or two smaller canine chums. Benefitting from a beautiful rural location, it’s the perfect spot to escape from it all and unwind. To the east you’ll find wide open moorland where the four-legged ones can have a good sniff and to the west there’s the fabulous Cornish coast with its long sandy beaches and rugged clifftop paths to explore.
The property is warm and inviting, thanks to the beautiful exposed woodwork and plush furnishings. Subtle lighting is used to create a cosy atmosphere and homely touches are designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The barn conversion embraces open plan living, creating a spacious area for everyone to enjoy. The lounge area is the ideal spot for the hounds to set up camp, as doors from here open out onto the gorgeous lawned garden. It’s fully enclosed, so you can happily let the woofers roam around whilst you sit back with a good book or fire up the BBQ.
There’s plenty to do with the dogs in the seaside town of Bude (19 miles away). Summerleaze beach welcomes dogs all year (on a lead during the day in high season). You can easily spend the day at the beach rock pooling, surfing and building sandcastles and from here there are some lovely coastal walks, too. The walk from Boscastle to Tintagel is approximately 5.5 miles and also makes a great day out. Start off by pottering around the historic fishing village and harbour at Boscastle, before heading out along the coast where dramatic arches jut out into the sea. There are two dog-friendly beaches along the route, and you’ll be rewarded at the end with fabulous panoramic views over the magical castle ruins at Tintagel.
