A large, beautifully furnished bungalow, perfect for families, couples and groups looking to explore the south coast of Cornwall and local attractions.

This stunning property, situated just 6.5 miles from the dog-friendly Par Sands Beach, is ideal for families or groups of friends that can bear to leave their faithful friends behind. Sleeping six across three peaceful bedrooms with space for up to two dogs, it won’t be long before you’re off down the South West Coast Path (access 2.5 miles on foot) experiencing the stunning views. If you prefer to stay inland, wander the mysterious Lost Gardens of Heligan (7 miles) with 200 acres of wildlife and plants to discover.

The property, which sits half a mile from the centre of St Austell, is spacious and welcoming. The kitchen diner is flooded with light thanks to the double doors leading out to the patio, while a huge dual aspect lounge beckons you to sink into the comfortable sofas in front of the TV while the pups curl up at your feet. At bedtime, slip between the sheets in one of the tranquil bedrooms; each one has contemporary decor with tones of the coast that lull you to sleep. Wake up and head to the patio for your morning coffee or take it to the enclosed gravel area to let the pups stretch their legs.

Head off to Wheal Martyn Clay Works (3 miles) and follow in the footsteps of the clay workers; climb to the peak of the site for a spectacular view of the modern working clay pit. Don’t forget to visit the Eden Project (4 miles) which can’t be missed when you’re in the area; the dogs are welcome in all the outside areas. Climb aboard the Bodmin and Wenford Railway (13.5 miles) where your canine companions can join you as you travel through beautiful views of Glynn Valley and Camel Valley to Boscarne.

The only downside was the lack of ventilation. As the property is a bungalow, we were unable to open windows at night. Some room fans may help. Other than that, our stay was comfortable, and the accommodation was perfect in every way
