This beautiful house is in an elevated terrace of period houses and boasts wide estuary views across to Fowey. It has a secluded garden and is situated in the heart of the village near to the local shop and pub.

Set on the South Cornwall coast, with its charming villages, pristine shores and hidden coves, this handsome cottage lies in the picture-postcard fishing village of Polruan. You’ll find everything within reach including shops, pubs, eateries, and wonderful walking trails. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, two canine companions are also welcome to join in the fun. Ideal for families, you’re perfectly placed for adventures along the coast with a beach in walking distance. Parking is available in local car parks, and you can unload the car in a quiet lane near the house.

Take a flight of external steps towards the property, beautifully decorated in a relaxed contemporary style. Head into the hallway where a set of stairs leads to the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area where pup pals can cosy up by the warming wood burner and watch favourite films on the Smart TV. Family mealtimes are a breeze with the well-equipped kitchen and calming coastal views. When sleepy-heads nod, you’ll find four cosy bedrooms across three floors, with cottage-style stairs up to the second-floor bedroom. Duke and Daisy can reach the BBQ and enclosed garden by steps from the kitchen patio.

Discover pretty Polruan which has access to the dog-friendly South West Coast Path. Take the ferry from Polruan to Fowey (4 miles) for its springtime literary festival or visit Hidden Valley Gardens (13.5 miles) where dogs on leads are welcome. Explore picturesque Polperro (6.5 miles), where boats bob on sparkling seas, the heritage museum shares tales of smugglers’ past, and the historic quayside inn is armed with dog biscuits. Enjoy pet-friendly beaches along this heritage coast from the sandy beach at Llansallos Cove (4.5 miles) to the National Trust Lantic Bay (1.5 miles). You can even head to Barcelona (8 miles), a hamlet between Looe and Polperro.

Fantastic house. Beautifully presented and thoughtfully equipped. Possibly the most comfortable beds and sofas of any holiday house I have ever rented!!! Will undoubtedly be back.

We have just returned from a family holiday at The Knot. It was absolutely fabulous. The house is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The beds and sofa are very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with all the pots, plates and utensils you need if you want to eat indoors. The location is so picturesque and the views from the main living area Read moreand bedroom are amazing! 2 local cafes and 2 local pubs were very nice and the regular ferry service allows easy access to Fowey for more variety. Excellent location, clean and tidy in a quiet part of the town. Right on the Coast Path which goes past the front door. Parking should only be done at the main car park as the plot at the top of the lane is Private and this was made clear to us. The main bedroom is amazing with stunning views of the harbour. A lovely view over the river with plenty to see, in a well equipped house but be aware that this property is at the bottom of a very steep hill (and parking is at the top) so you need to be pretty fit. We made use of the passenger ferry across to Fowey but to go anywhere else involves some very quaint, narrow lanes. This is a beautiful property in terms of location, cleanliness and equipment contained within. The owners really have thought of everything. We had our best Cornwall holiday to date, and weve had plenty. Locals are so friendly and accommodating and the harbour is within a 5 min stroll, lovely for an evening sunset pint and a listen to the Cornish sRead moreingers or the ferry to Fowey. Parking at the car park was unavoidable, but was very reasonably priced for a week and there was lots of it. Fabulous Hide

What a house! The pictures dont even do it justice. We were blown away from the second we walked in. Every detail was perfect. Super comfy beds, and an incredible view to wake up to every day. Your legs get a good work out in Polruan! Its a quaint little town with a great local dog friendly pub. Only a short 7 minute ferry ride to Fowey which runs Read moreevery 15 mins. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Good facilities and location and stunning view from the property. Parking/ logistics taking bags etc. to and from the property was the only real issue we had as the car park is a fair distance away up a steep hill so a bit of a struggle with big bags and small kids in tow! Lovely place, very well equipped house with terrific views from the lounge and great morning sunshine spots in the garden. It does take a bit of logistical planning around ferry times to eat in Fowey, as limited evening options in Polruan, but once youre organised it all works absolutely fine.
