Lovely place to get away from everything. I think people should be made aware that its position is on the top of a steep hill and the car has to be parked at the bottom, that could be a problem for some. Also the compost toilet. Not everyone could cope with that. Perhaps these things were pointed out but I missed it. But a stunningly beautiful locaRead moretion. Hide

A well equipped, comfortable and very private little retreat with really lovely views! It was very peaceful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We particularly loved the big terrace. A few very minor downsides (for us) were the compost toilet (as you'd expect it's a little bit smelly and you have to dash outside in the rain), the parking (you walk Read moreup a short but steep hill to the hut) and the very remote location (we prefer a pub in walking distance out of choice). Would still recommend though! Hide

A really stunning location and exceptionally quiet. Great for walking from the doorstep and lovely to wake up to hares and pheasants in the morning. Ray was very helpful and made me and my dog feel very welcome. The property has recently changed hands so no welcome basket etc now and feel it could do with a bit of a revamp.
