A delightful cottage that sit at the end of a private drive, located on the edge of the charming village of Kilkhampton, this is the ideal spot from which you can explore all North Cornwall and Devon.
Enjoy coast and country with your best four-legged friend from this delightful former curate’s home within an old rectory at Kilkhampton, 4 miles from Bude. Enjoy proximity to beaches where your happy hound can spend time on the sand with you all year round, or set out from home on walks through Cornwall’s Coombe Valley. Return to your two-bedroom property, which sleeps four guests and has beautiful rural views, to relax in your private, sunny garden or take Fido on a stroll through the mature grounds, which are shared with other cottages close by.
Step into your inviting home within the exquisite Grade II-listed building to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at its heart. Relax in here with Fido at your feet as you watch TV or a DVD. Feed him in the kitchen, which is up a step and has a useful washing machine; enjoy dinner with your family and friends around the table. As night falls, bid your perfect pet goodnight and head up to your two comfortable bedrooms and family bathroom on the first floor. Take breakfast in your private garden, while Fido also enjoys the fresh air, and fire up the BBQ on warm summer evenings. There is also a shared laundry room with tumble dryer in the grounds.
Pack a picnic and doggy treats and head off on a 5-mile circular walk from Kilkhampton, over the common, through the Coombe Valley to Stowe Woods - on the way home you can pass the medieval fortification of Penstowe Castle. Drive almost 4 miles to Coombe to spend sunny afternoons rock pooling in the cove at Duckpool Beach, where furry friends are always welcome, or head just under 3 miles to Sandymouth Bay where Fido can bound across open sands and dip his paws in the salty shallows.
