The cottage is self-contained with a good view over the valley. It is perfect for a couple. The owners are really helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. Location wise, it is near the market town St Austell, hence a good base to explore other areas in Cornwall or Devon. One caveat is that the roads leading to the cottage are all sinRead moregle file traffic and can be extremely narrow at some sections, and hence can be challenging for inexperienced drivers. Hide

This is a lovely place to stay from the accommodation to the view. The widelife outside the windows in the mornings was beautiful. Had a great stay. Owners were very friendly but had no problems in our stay at all. We are both in late 50s early 60s and had no problem with getting into bedroom. A beautiful quirky site. Accomodation was exactly what we were looking for. Loved sitting outside in a morning, not overlooked and all you could hear was birdsong and the occasional rumbling of a train. Cabin had all the essentials required, comfy settees, lovely bathroom with shower and practical kitchen. Yes there was a few cobwebs but you are inRead more a log cabin, its nature. Cosy cabin in a lovely location with great views. Wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the best of the outside decked area. But the fire pit and log burner were well used.

Luxulyan is a beautiful woodland but if you're not a confident driver you will find it difficult negotiating single track roads & reversing to the nearest passing place. Fabulous base for Eden Project (5 minutes away) Fowey, Boddinick, Port Issac & Lantic Bay. Short drive from cabin to shops and takeaways. An hours drive from Par to the beautiful TRead morerebah Gardens with it's own private beach but can get crowded so either go early or drive 5 mins to peaceful Grebe Beach from Durgan village carpark. The location of the property is stunning and the perfect retreat. The proprietor is very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive . However the standard of cleanliness was poor. The soft furnishings did not look like they had been cleaned in a long time. Curtains dirty and blinds had dead insects squashed onto them. Which is such a shame as tRead morehe cottage is lovely. We were unable to sleep in the roof space bed due to cobwebs and a lot of spiders, so slept on a purchased air bed. Hide

Lovely location. Slightly noisy on some nights from the campsite the other side of the hedge. Surrounding woodland is stunning as are the views from the cabin. The cottage is part of a small camping and glamping site in a woodland, up tiny winding roads in the middle of nowhere - very peaceful and idyllic. The views are spectacular. Our phone network didn't get phone or internet signal and had tRead moreo drive to a nearby village for signal. We had a issue with a gap between the two single mattresses but that's since been fixed - the zip that kept them together had simply come undone. We had a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend this little patch of paradise.

The location is fantastic!! Great for the dogs with so many beautiful walks, beaches and gardens to explore. The view from the garden was breathtaking and we spend our evenings having drinks and bbqs looking out over the view and lighting the fire pit for when it got dark.
