The cottage had everything we needed and Jane was on hand whenever we needed her. The welcome pack was appreciated and the meal she made was delicious. The views were fantastic. The local pub - the Royal Oak did fab food but it is a good 20-25 minute walk away along an unlit unmade road so not advisable in the dark!

We had a lovely week in the Escape which was very comfortable and well equipped. The bed is huge and the outside deck gives great views of the surrounding Yorkshire countryside. The barn conversion is amongst farmland and a larger property, yet close enough to Kirkbymoorside, otherlocal towns and access to the North Yorks moors. We had some good evRead moreenings playing snooker on the restored vintage snooker table in the games barn next door. Recommend this high quality property for a enjoyable stay. Hide

The cottage the escape really lived up to its name. Wonderful isolated location with lovely view, well located to discover the sights of North Yorkshire. Jane couldnt have made us more welcome. Star of the show was definitely the local hare who came to munch on the lawn each morning.

The cottage was in a great location on a farm, just outside Kirkbymoorside and within walking distance of Gillamoor. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable for two people. The host was welcoming and provided a welcome pack of basics for the kitchen. The location was ideal for us, as there are plenty of options for walking directly from Read morethe site, with villages like Hutton Le Hole within walking distance. There are also a number of places of interest within a short drive from the site Hide
