Sitting in an elevated location with commanding views and overseeing the vibrant Cotswold mill town of Nailsworth, this beautiful cottage with accommodation spread across four floors is simply perfect for a memorable holiday

Elevated above the nearby town of Nailsworth, this traditional cottage enjoys a unique vantage point for exploring the Cotswolds. Ideal for groups of up to six humans and two hounds, you’ll soon be sniffing out exciting adventures across the nearby commons, or padding along the iconic Cotswold Way. Rest your tired paws on your return, relaxing in the pretty Mediterranean-style garden and firing up the BBQ for al fresco suppers.

Step inside to discover a comfortable retreat with fashionably distressed furniture, chic accessories and fresh decor. Walk down the steps into the elegant lounge to curl up on the sofas or relax in the adjoining sunroom. Dinner is a glamorous affair in the beautiful dining room, which boasts an exposed stone fireplace, traditional flooring, and an impressive table – beware of curious pups by the open stairwell. There’s a small terrace for al fresco dining by candlelight, and there’s a fabulous fitted kitchen along with a handy utility area. The first and second floors are home to the stunning bedrooms, each one tastefully decorated and sharing one of two bathrooms; a generous wet room and a sublime bathroom complete with a roll-top bath. Outside, the garden area consists of a large sheltered terrace with furniture and pretty plants and shrubs. There is off-road parking for one car, and additional roadside parking subject to availability.

A short 0.5-mile stroll will bring you into the market town of Nailsworth, known for its selection of restaurants and independent shops. Slightly further afield is Westonbirt Arboretum, 8.5 miles away, which welcomes furry visitors on leads throughout the grounds. There are several National Trust properties nearby too, where Rex can sniff for rabbits throughout the grounds of popular gems such as Woodchester Mansion Trust, 5 miles away, and Newark Park, 7.5 miles away.

Fabulous stay, we had a lovely welcome from the owners, including a delicious home made cake on arrival! The house offered everything we could need for a two week stay, and even on days when the weather didnt encourage us outside (we stayed in february) we felt so comfortable that we were happy to enjoy the house and relax inside. A wonderful cottage in a lovely place. The owners ensured that we had everything we needed and were delightful and very welcoming. This is a charming characterful cottage, beautifully appointed and eclectically decorated. Sadly the weather and time commitments didnt allow us much use of the fabulous outdoor facilities or appreciate the quaint garden space. A beautifully appointed cottage (more of a house!) for 6 adults in which we spent Christmas. Colin and Penny are excellent hosts and clearly spent a lot of time making it so comfortable, not least dressing the rooms for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Lovely house which accommodated 6 adults comfortably- ideal location, lots of walks and biking opportunities from the door and ideal for pottering around Nailsworth. Didnt need to get the car out at all! Smashing host and lovely lemon drizzle cake.

This was by far the best holiday-cottage we have ever been to! Penny and Colin are perfect hosts and the cottage was furnished in such a loving and beautiful way - a real home from home. The patio was the cherry on top! Nailsworth is a charming little town and a good base to explore the Cotswolds. We will definetily return!

A beautiful cottage in the perfect village with everything on the doorstep. We got such a lovely welcome by Colin and Penny and the house was equipped really well and to a high standard. The location is perfect for getting to all the beautiful Cotswold villages and for exploring Bath and Oxford. We loved it and thank you!
