Set in a village location, just 3 miles from the town of Bridgend in South Wales, this charming property, sleeping two humans and one pooch, places you and your pack in splendour. Tastefully finished, the chic living space is a welcome retreat after a day spent sniffing out adventure, with a well-equipped kitchen enabling you to prepare anything from a snack to a feast. On warmer evenings the property’s private enclosed garden beckons, with a raised decking area for intimate al fresco dining and a lawned area for your four-legged friends. There are also plenty of great walks, with the 3-mile-long ridge of Cefn Hirgoed offering an elevated walk east from Sarn, while Bryngarw Country Park lies 1½ miles north. Further afield you will find the sandy beaches of Ogmore-by-Sea and Merthyr Mawr either side of the mouth of the River Ogmore, 8 miles south-west, while urban hounds can pad the pavements of Cardiff or Swansea, which are both within a 25-mile radius.

The cottage is a really good base to explore the South Wales coast and was really good with our 2 dogs. The property is not huge, but for 2 adults and pets, quite adequate. Having a completely enclosed garden front and back was a real bonus too. There is a nice little decked area with a gazebo framework, which was very pleasant to sit out in with aRead more drink after a day out exploring. The cottage is very well appointed and we were quite comfortable for our week. Hide

Fabulous welcome hamper. Such a lovely cute cottage. Just a personal preference - didnt realise it was in a town, would have preferred it to be more rural, but I think that was down to my research.

Not knowing what to expect we found a "welcome basket" on our arrival. Very nice gesture and great cottage, so many could learn from how the owner does it so well.

This is a lovely, small, cosy cottage with original low ceiling beams and a modern shabby chic decor. The property is very clean and highly maintained by the owners who have done their best to ensure that the visitors have a comfortable stay. The property is located in a residential area but the beaches and shops are within a short drive away.
