It’s impossible to grasp the sheer splendour of this imposing turreted property from photos alone. The dogs will love dozing in front of the open fires dotted throughout the property and on a hot day throw open the patio doors from the lounge, so they can potter in and out to the large patio area.

You could quite happily spend the entire holiday at the house, challenging each other to tennis matches, hiring a boat to go out on the loch, fishing or having long lazy BBQs overlooking the water. However, if you do fancy a little excursion the dogs will adore Tay Forest Park, just 11 miles away. Explore the once-mighty hillforts and follies, hidden amongst a canopy of towering trees, and refuel in the dog-friendly cafe. You’ll also be just 14 miles from the doggy paradise that is the Cairngorms National Park, with a whole network of community paths and trails to discover around lochs, up mountains and through historic towns and villages.
