Situated near the south-eastern corner of the Craigvinean part of Tay Forest Park, this traditional country cottage has been lovingly refurbished, stylishly decorated and attractively furnished to provide warm and welcoming family accommodation. With plenty of space for four guests with two dogs, this cosy property makes an ideal base for exploring the glorious Perthshire countryside.

Stepping into this charming property you will find an inviting lounge with plenty of comfortable seating and a feature gas stove set in an exposed stone fireplace. The country kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to prepare meals in, and there's a light and relaxing dining area for you to gather round and share a leisurely meal together. The ground floor also offers an elegant bathroom. Heading upstairs, the first floor features a pretty en-suite double bedroom and a charming twin room. Set in the heart of the spectacular Perthshire countryside, this is a fantastic holiday base for you and your four-legged friends to explore some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery. From the doorstep there are many wonderful walks to explore, and the region features a number of thriving towns and villages, including Dunkeld (1 mile), Perth, Pitlochry (both 13.5 miles) and Blairgowrie (12.5 miles), all of which offer a variety of great places to eat and drink, many of them dog-friendly. Local landmarks include Loch of Lowes (3.5 miles), Loch of Drumellie (10 miles) and the popular Birnam Arts Centre which is just a few hundred metres from the cottage. Heading into the beautiful Tay Forest Park, you can explore the 33-acre 18th-century woodland known as The Hermitage, which lies on the banks of the River Braan and is home to Ossian's Hall, a folly dating from 1758.

The cottage is a comfortable base to explore the area. En suite master bedroom and a house bathroom. Parking either in front of the house or in an allocated space nearby. So many walking and cycling (road and mtb) opportunities from the door. The archway to the courtyard is quite low. Bikes on a roof rack won't fit under it. We had to take ours offRead more but it's only a few yards into the courtyard. There's a cubby hole nearby where we put our bikes but I think it belongs to the house next door. Hide

The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a perfect position for exploring Perthshire and beyond. Having a train station so nearby was also a bonus. The only downside, especially if you have young children is that there is no garden.

We enjoyed our stay in Pinegrove Cottage. It is well equipped and in a good location. Very quiet but only a 10 minute walk into Dunkeld with its range of shops and restaurants. Lots to do in the locality. We bought a book and enjoyed a coffee in the bookshop. Had a nice lunch in the Institute and a good pizza from the Inn. All within a two minute wRead morealk. Hide

Great location for walks and visits around the area. Cottage was ideal, clean comfortable and homely. All the small things you need to take supplied by the owner. All you have to take are clothes and food. Would, and have recommended to friends.
