A Scandinavian-inspired lodge tucked in the foothills of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, boasting panoramic views and easy access to an abundance of scenic walks.
With walks straight from the door, you can be enjoying a tipple and a tail wag on the sun terrace one minute, and be on a path to the Sugar Loaf Mountain the next. There are stick chasing spots all around and you’ll soon work up an appetite to whet in the local pub (0.5 miles) before you curl up on the sofa and get cosy for the night.
Climb the gently stepped path and make yourself at home in this welcoming abode. Get comfortable in the bright lounge and sit beneath beams (which will have your canine companion dreaming of sticks!) as you switch off in front of the TV and dole out regular tummy tickles. Throw open patio doors which lead to the terrace, a great spot for an al fresco meal and a tasty titbit, and bask in the last of the sun. The galley-style kitchen may be compact, but it has all you need to cook up a storm and rustle up tasty treats. It even has a coffee maker for those early morning starts and to give you the kick start you need if you fancied a lazy morning but your pup has other ideas. The shared laundry facilities (shared with the other property on-site) are great for washing muddy towels wet from drying off soggy post-walk fur, and for making sure your outfits are kept clean. You can also clean off in the shower room before resting tired heads in one of two bedrooms.
With 3.5 acres of pretty gardens and woodland to explore and access to the Sugar Loaf Mountain straight from home, spend hours exploring your surroundings before heading further afield. Enjoy a waterside wander along the River Usk and cross the 17th-century bridge at Crickhowell (2 miles) where you can also tuck into delicious food at a handful of dog-friendly pubs.
