Whether you love walking, cycling, horse-riding or simply sitting in cafes to watch the world go by, you’ll find plenty to occupy you during your relaxing holiday here.

Adjoining the owner’s property but with complete privacy assured, this annexe has its own private enclosed patio garden with the added benefit of access through to a grassed area just next door, perfect for Fido to stretch his legs before bed each night. The bright and spacious open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area is filled with natural light thanks to huge patio doors that stretch almost the entire length of the room, offering views that can be enjoyed from comfortable sofas. The double bedroom is a haven of rest and rejuvenation with a soft bed and fresh linen ready for you to sink into at the end of a busy day’s adventures.

The small town of Ashburton, known as the gateway to Dartmoor, is just 3 miles away and home to a fantastic selection of shops, delicatessens, pubs and cafes. Dartmoor itself, with its wild open moorlands and deep river valleys, is a pleasant 9 miles’ drive from the property and is the perfect place to let Fido take the lead on one of many walks to be had here. The Dartington Hall Estate is also a wonderful place to walk with your four-legged friend and is home to 880 acres of forests, rivers and an abundance of wildlife. History lovers will happily take the 20-mile drive to the ancient city of Exeter to visit the cathedral and castle here.

Suggest that when the cottage is booked the owner puts out an arrow sign pointing to the direction of the cottage if (he was allowed to) there are two ways in and that's where the confusion lies.

The cottage was very clean and cosy, kitchen well equipped every thing you would need if cooking and eating in. Small secluded patio area with garden table and chairs. Wine, tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge or a welcome drink on arrival. Area good for sightseeing. Two pubs a short drive away serving excellent food.

When we found our way to the property we were delighted at how beautifully clean and well presented the annexe is. The kitchen is extremely well equipped, better than any other holiday cottage we've stayed in. Everything matching so if weather bad and you can't get out would be quite happy to stay indoors. The only problem i found if you miss you turning off the road to go down to the cottage you end up going down the A38 to turn around to come back.

An excellent self-catering cottage, well equiped with almost everything. Lovely and so helpful to have a few things provided on arrival. A very comfortable place to stay, hoping to return for another holiday before too long. Lots to do and see nearby.

Absolutely perfect, lovely quite retreat, accommodation had everything you could think of, two very nice pubs with restaurants close by driving about 5 minutes away , location great for Plymouth, Exeter, Trago mills , perfect , host was great left us too it , would highly recommend.
