Head inside the airy retreat to find ample space for your family, friends and four-legged chum. Pull walking boots off and hang dog leads in the spacious reception hall, which also has access to a WC. Wander through to the ground-floor kitchen to pop damp dog towels into the washing machine in the adjoining utility room, then feed your hungry hound and put Sunday lunch in to roast for everyone else. Also at this level is one of your lounges, with doors on to the garden and a TV, plus some of your bedrooms and bathrooms. These include two twin rooms, one with an en-suite wet room and the other with an en-suite shower room, plus a double bedroom, with en-suite shower room. Another double bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom and an extra day bed for a young child, is on the first floor. Also here, is the generous, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with additional kitchen facilities and another TV. Take your chum out into the garden as often as wishes. Light the BBQ and sit out around the outdoor, open fire long into the night with your canine companion beside you.
Set out from the barn with your delighted dog to explore the scenic, wooded Clydach Gorge. Venture 2 miles to stretch furry legs with walks alongside the magnificent River Usk. Head into Abergavenny or Crickhowell, 4 miles away, for jolly group meals in dog-friendly pubs.
