Attractive period cottage sleeping two guests, located in the much-loved village of Cartmel offering a choice of well-regarded restaurants and pubs within walking distance, and just 6.5 miles from Lake Windermere.

Situated on a quiet street in the picturesque village of Cartmel, this property is the ideal Lake District base for a couple and their canine. With luxurious touches throughout, this property is only an idyllic walk away from a variety of pubs and cafes – dog-friendly, of course!

The cosy living room offers you the space to put your feet up in the evening and with the TV on and the wood burner flickering away in the corner, the ideal sleeping spot for man's best friend. The dining space has room for four people to dine, and the kitchen is traditionally decorated with vintage-style cabinets and appliances, a gentle reminder of your countryside surroundings. Traditionalism only goes so far, however, and the property is equipped with all the necessary mod-cons, including a washer/dryer for cleaning up muddy dog towels and walking gear. To the back of the property is an enclosed patio with an outdoor dining set and a beautiful summer house, perfect for relaxing with your morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst your dog has free roam of the outdoor space.

Within 150 metres of this property, you'll find yourself in the centre of Cartmel, a picture-postcard Cumbrian village. The cottage overlooks the 12th-century Cartmel Priory which boasts beautiful stained-glass windows, and the River Eea runs right through the village only meters from your front door. Located just 6.5 miles from Lake Windemere, you’ll find a handful of amazing walks that’ll no doubt exhaust both you and the dog. 2.5 miles from the property is the Edwardian seaside retreat of Grange-over-Sands, where you must take a walk along the dog-friendly promenade at the unique saltmarsh beach and grab some well-deserved fish and chips.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage in lovely position overlooking green field with sheep - lovely and peaceful. Cartmel is an ideal place to stay with shops, pubs, restaurants and tea shops. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely cottage in a perfect location in Cartmel. Although only a one-bedroom all of the rooms are a good size so you do not feel at all cramped. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Loved our week in this charming cosy cottage. Situated overlooking a field full of sheep and Cartmel Priory, just a short walk into town center. Cartmel is lovely, The Cavendish Arms does great food. Would definitely stay again

Great location. Lovely bathroom, nice towels and toiletries. Nice dcor throughout. Well equipped and generally comfortable, but could have been a lot cleaner. Outside space not user friendly
