Tastefully decorated in a charming coastal style, this contemporary cottage is the perfect choice for family getaways with your four-legged friends.

In this cottage’s spacious open-plan arrangement, the whole pack can spend many fun and relaxing evenings together. Sleeping five, and welcoming two of your canine companions, it’s perfectly located for coastal walks and trips to the beach, including the spectacular stretch of sand at Embleton Bay (3 miles). At the property there’s also a lockable shed so you can safely store bikes, as well as all of your hound’s favourite toys!

Take off your coats, unclip Lassie’s lead, and get the wood burner lit if it’s chilly. After dinner and a bowl of something tasty for your top dog, let them stretch out on the rug while you stay seated. The stylish low-hanging pendant lights above the table add a lovely warm glow to your evening, as you discuss ideas for the days ahead. From the kitchen/diner, move across to the lounge area for a seat on one of the sofas, where your dog can curl up at your feet. Play games, watch TV, or share stories over drinks. At the end of the night, enjoy a peaceful sleep in one of the three elegant bedrooms. Outside there is an enclosed patio garden, perfect for a summer BBQ - don’t forget to throw your four-pawed pal a bone too! As the fence is low, you will need to supervise dogs keen to sniff around.

Walkies will really set tails wagging along the Northumberland Coast – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – with the likes of Dunstanburgh Castle (3.5 miles) and Bamburgh Castle (10.5 miles) to explore. Let your dog get their sea legs on a boat trip to Longstone Island, setting off from Seahouses (7.5 miles). This is the only one of the Farne Islands where dogs are allowed to set their paws on land.

  • 3 bedrooms 1 en-suite double, 1 twin and 1 single with additional single roll-out bed for a 6th guest
  • 1 en-suite bathroom and 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC
  • Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine
  • Smart TV in the lounge
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Enclosed garden with table and chairs and BBQ
  • Wood burner

  • 2 well-behaved dogs welcome
  • The front patio/garden is totally enclosed with a gate but the fence is just 90cm and dogs will need supervision
  • Bed linen included
  • Heating and hot water included
  • Lockable shed for bicycles, surfboard and wetsuits
  • Property lies adjacent to the East Coast Mainline and about 100 yards from a level crossing with services up until about 11pm. However, the cottage has both modern sound and thermal insulation

Beautiful little cottage, centrally located for all areas in the North East. Superbly decorated, clean and comfortable. We stay in at least 6 cottages each year and this is the first one we've stayed in where all the kitchen knives and scissors are sharp and all the non-stick pans are still all non-stick! The property is set right next to the East Read moreCoast Mainline and it was a joy to listen and to watch the trains going by, it's a shame there was nowhere to sit outside and watch them. On arrival we spent the first hour trying to get rid of flies!! They were everywhere, behind blinds, windowsills and in all rooms. Which we found really strange considering its December. The wood floors were dirty, probably been hoovered before our arrival but not mopped in a while. The property would also benefit from plug in air fresheners.
