  • Close to the fabulous Elan Valley with its many picturesque reservoirs and scenic hikes
Property code: BN237

Delightful, secluded cottage, providing a perfect base for small families or couples looking to explore the mid Wales countryside, with long walks and cycle routes on the doorstep.

Sitting north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with plenty of places to explore from your door, this abode welcomes lovers of the outdoors, especially those with wet noses and tufty paws! Stay close to home or travel 14 miles to the Elan Valley, home to stick-chasing spots, farmland and reservoirs. After days spent exploring, kick back on the comfortable sofa, moving only to tickle a tummy or put the kettle on.

Whisk the family inside and unpack provisions in the kitchen where there is plenty of storage for all of your treats and ingredients. When it’s time to plate up, dine at the table in the lounge or serve up outside on the patio where you can admire the views and watch your pup chase their tail (please be aware of neighbouring sheep). Put your feet and paws up in the lounge for a relaxing evening in front of the TV, or with a good book. When you return from adventures, make your way into the laundry room (shared with the neighbouring barn), to towel off any mud and store wet boots. As night comes, climb stairs to the first floor where two pretty bedrooms invite you to drift off and the family shower room helps you wake and feel refreshed in the morning.

For an exciting day in the Brecon Beacons National Park climbing peaks and chasing balls, journey via Brecon (22 miles) and tuck into something tasty to energise you. A visit to the bustling market town is a great way to start your day and is home to a handful of dog-friendly pubs, the Brecon Canal Basin and shops at which you can pick up treats for the rest of the day. Whilst exploring nearby Builth Wells (10.5 miles), make sure you pay the castle remains a visit.

A very remote cottage three miles from the main B Road. Its very quiet and very dark at night. Theres lots to do nearby, with many places to walk or cycle. There is an excellent restaurant in Beulah - The Trout Inn. Well worth a visit. The cottage has pretty much everything you need for your stay. Just bring plenty of food.

We were snug and cosy even though temperature was freezing outside! My dog loved being able to run free. So quiet and peaceful.....shame the weather was grey and miserable!

We had a wonderfull stay for almost two weeks. There was rain but the walks were great. The cottage is a good stay to relax and the kitchen works good for me with a good working stove. Thanks!

A spacious, clean and comfortable cottage, with everything you need. Set in a stunning location, especially if you like peace and great views. But equally great for exploring beautiful Wales.

Cosy comfortable warm cottage, clean and tidy. Made very welcome - with flowers and a home made cake, a pint of milk in the fridge and tea and coffee - enable us to settle down with a mug of tea after a long journey before un packing the car as it was pouring down on arrival. Well appointed and comfy cottage in a quiet rural spot. Good walks for dogs. Garage was useful, particularly if you have to unload/load car in the rain. Ideal position for day trips.
