The quintessential village of Whatton-in-the-Vale is top dog for a quiet getaway, surrounded by rolling countryside and more scenic walks than you can throw a stick at. Sleeping two guests along with one beloved hound, this charming single-level property is a cosy base for those with a love of the outdoors, especially when combined with trips to pooch-approved cafes for generous slabs of homemade cake.

Step inside to discover a spacious open-plan living area that’s tailor made for relaxing, featuring bright lighting, comfortable furniture and all the home comforts you could wish for. Return from visiting a local town with armloads of fresh produce, ready to cook up a storm that’ll set tails wagging in anticipation. Full-bellied and weary after a busy day, you’ll relish sinking onto the sofa with a soothing nightcap, recharging your batteries with a film night. Outside, the safely enclosed garden is an ideal place for Your dog to play. Overlooking the village and the owner’s private garden, it is also a serene spot to sip your morning coffee and enjoy the fresh, clean air.

Handily located within 5 miles of the A52, you could soon be venturing out by car to Nottingham 15.5 miles away, famous for its fascinating history, exciting attractions and abundance of shops. The majestic Belvoir Castle 6 miles away welcomes furry visitors amongst the grounds, and there’s over 1300 acres of parkland at Belton House for your pup to explore. No day trip would be complete without a visit to a traditional pub, and the Wheatsheaf in Bingham even allows well-behaved owners in the bar and restaurant 3 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

We really enjoyed our relaxed week in Little Wayside. It was well equipped with everything that we needed for our stay, the secure garden was perfect for our dog too. The owners were friendly and helpful prior to the stay and during. Beautiful location and only a short drive from the shops and local amenities.
