Perfect for long dog walks and enjoyable hiking days out, this Scottish bungalow is ideal for your next family holiday. Man's best friend and his loyal masters are all well catered for in this comfy home, where six humans and two dogs are welcome to unwind after a long day of bagging Munros and chasing red squirrels. Curl up together in the cosy lounge, reflecting on the day past and watching as Fido basks in the warmth of the open fire.

The decor of this country home has been well preserved, boasting antique furniture and floral soft furnishings that act as an instant reminder of your rural location. Comfy beds, sofas and armchairs all create welcoming spaces to unwind after a long day on your feet, and the windows boast stunning views out to the surrounding gardens. The farmhouse-style kitchen is kept cosy thanks to a traditional AGA oven, providing a warming space for dogs to curl up and sleep when everyone has retired to bed. On summer evenings, the home excels in outdoor space, offering an enclosed garden for Fido and Rover to stretch their legs and a patio with furniture and a BBQ where you can enjoy dining outside.

Wander 1 mile down to the small village of Tomatin, made popular by its large distillery and excellent Scottish spirit. The village lies on the brink of the vast Cairngorms National Park. Here you'll find an abundance of unforgettable dog walks, including the Munro Ben Macdui, that'll challenge even the most energetic of pups. After some extensive woodland walks, head to the pretty town of Grantown-on-Spey (18 miles), where you'll find plenty of dog-friendly local pubs and the bustling River Spey.

We had a truly amazing time at Learag. The enclosed garden is a wonderful place for dogs and children giving them so much freedom to explore. And the abundance of wildlife all around was super. We cant wait to come back.

Had a comfortable stay at Learag, a home full of 70s charm. Could reminisce, relax and enjoy the wonderful trees surrounding the garden and driveway. Short walk into Tomatin and the lovely cafe. Will surely return again.

Excellent property, very well equipped and in a lovely peaceful location. We saw some great wild life including a deer in the garden. The property is ideally located to use as a base to travel from, we travelled to Nairn which has a wonderful dog friendly beach, culloden battlefield, Fort Augustus and Avimore and the beach at Loch Morlich. The gardRead moreen at the property is huge and dog secure, it takes ages to do a poo patrol . It does get very warm in the kitchen due to the Aga. Will be back! Hide

This is the perfect garden for dogs - totally secure and they love all the room to run around. For the humans, it's comfortable, well-equipped and set in a beautiful, relaxing environment. Wildlife spotted while we were there: ospreys, deer, hare, ptarmigan & numerous other birds (all from the garden). Lovely shop & cafe just up the road

We found all excellent. The garden was beautiful and we were very happy to see the red deer join us frequently. I could perhaps say that I found that the Aga cooker made the kitchen rather too hot but Lilianne used it very well despite not having met one before.

Fantastic property and location, a true home from home. Lovely (secure) garden for those bringing dogs. We really enjoyed watching the many birds that came to the garden, as well as deer in the meadow you overlook. A short (1 mile each way) walk to Tomatin, with a super community cafe and shop, plus woods to see red squirrels, if you are lucky. We Read morewere sad to leave and would definitely go again. Hide
