Are you after some wow-factor accommodation for a birthday celebration, school reunion or team-building weekend? You’ll be barking up the right tree with this beautiful converted barn, which has room for up to ten humans and two canines. Complete with a private hot tub and a games room, it’s bound to impress the humans, and the dogs will go mutts for the gigantic garden and cosy wood burner. There are fantastic options for walks nearby too, including the picturesque North Devon coast (12 miles) and the sparsely populated Bodmin Moor (18.5).
The house has a modern decor with bright colours, sleek wooden furniture and contemporary lighting. In the spacious open-plan living area, spend some time together either cooking, watching the Smart TV from the sofa (humans) or having a good scratch behind the ears (canines). The wood burner has a guard around it to keep children and pets safe. In the games room, knock around some snooker balls while the dog pokes her head around the door wondering what all the noise is about. If you are tired after the day’s activities, settle down to a film with your pet’s head resting on your knee. Spend an afternoon in the garden, which has attractive furniture and a children’s playground as well as the hot tub.
You’ll be in a rural part of Devon 2 miles from the village of North Tamerton and 2.5 miles from the nearest pub. For a day at the seaside head to Bude (14 miles), a popular surfing resort, or Tintagel (21 miles), a historical town with a spectacular castle where dogs on leads are welcome. These locations both give access to the South West Coast Path, a tail-waggingly good walking trail taking in dramatic headlands, steep cliffs and pretty river valleys.
