Escape from it all in this rural getaway on the south coast of Cornwall, which sleeps six guests and two dogs. With its own private hot tub and home away from home vibe, you’ll easily slip into the relaxed Cornish way of life. The property is just 10 miles from The Lizard Peninsula - mainland Britain’s most southerly tip – which is perfect dog-walking territory with its wild clifftop tracks, rare wildlife to discover and intriguing coastal history.
The warm and inviting barn conversion is one of two holiday properties on a friendly working farm. Snuggle up in front of the TV in the evening, leaving the French doors open so the four-legged ones can amble in and out to the private patio, or perhaps crack open a bottle of bubbly and hop into the outdoor hot tub. You’ll have easy access to a shared lawn area, where the dogs can stretch their legs, as well as a games room and play equipment for young children.
As well as the 7-mile coastal walk around the dramatic coast of the peninsula, you’ll also find some great dog-friendly beaches. Cadgwith Beach, 7 miles away, is a small shingle beach and a lovely spot for a picnic as you watch the fishing boats come and go. Mullion Cove Beach, also dog friendly all year, is a sandy west-facing beach with a quaint harbour. From here there are some beautiful clifftop walks along the South West Coast Path. If you fancy eating out, there is an abundance of dog-friendly country pubs in the nearby market town of Helston (6 miles), as well as a popular pub within walking distance of the property (less than 0.5 miles).
