On the shores of Loch Lomond, this magnificent property is set in 98 acres of landscaped grounds and woodland and provides superb accommodation for a family get-together or special occasion.

The fabulous property, just 20 miles north of Glasgow, sleeps 21 guests and two canine chums. It’s perfectly placed to enjoy a wide variety of walks in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, from energetic climbs to relaxing waterside strolls; a network of trails criss-cross through the 720 square miles, encompassing mountains, glens and lochs. There are some fascinating dog-friendly historic sites, such as Inchmahome Priory and Balloch Castle Country Park, within a 20-mile radius of the house.

 

This stunning accommodation oozes elegance and style. The luxurious ‘Great Room’ is the ideal place to unwind after a long walk with the hounds, with its impressive double-height ceiling and picture window offering exquisite views over the water. There are numerous social spaces, including a drawing room, conservatory and TV room, meaning there’s ample space for you and your four-legged friends to spread out during the holiday. In the evening, while away the hours in the games room, take a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool or enjoy a stroll with Rover and Fido around the 98 acres surrounding the property.

 

For peace and tranquillity, head to Inchmahome Priory (17 miles away). The Augustinian monastery, which dates back to 1238, is set on an island on the Lake of Menteith and is reached by passenger ferry. The woofers can join you for a reflective stroll around the grounds. Pack a picnic and journey to Balloch Castle Country Park, just 5 miles away. You’ll find 200 acres of walled gardens, nature trails and guided walks all begging to be sniffed and explored. The Loch Lomond and Cowal Way can be joined at Inveruglas, 25 miles away. The 57-mile route passes through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes in the Highlands – a great challenge for you and the waggy-tailed ones.

The accommodation and facilities (especially the swimming pool) were fantastic to suit eighteen people ranging from five to seventy four. Emily was very helpful and their dog (Charlie) very friendly when visiting.
