A delightful open-plan lodge with wood burner, ideally located for visiting a range of attractions in both Norfolk and Suffolk or simply relaxing and recharging the batteries.
This idyllic rural retreat is the perfect place for couples or small groups of friends to spend some quality time together. Your dog will go mutts for it, too – located on a working farm with its own lake plus a river running through, it’s a scent-sniffer’s paradise, with enough to keep them happy for days. Spend a day enjoying this peaceful space.
The lodge has an open-plan layout with plenty of space for relaxing with your pet. Prepare a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen then sit down at the dining table, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the beauty of the outside in. Enjoy creature comforts that make you feel right at home, like comfy sofas, a TV/DVD player and a cosy wood burner to keep you and Sadie toasty on cooler evenings. In the enclosed garden, sip morning coffee on the patio while Sadie chews up her holiday bone. On a hazy afternoon, take a tree-lined wander down to the River Thet, or grab some shade in the wooden gazebo by the water.
There are numerous walking paths nearby – take your beloved bundle of fluff for a long walk into the surrounding countryside for an energetic workout. Absorb the charming village atmosphere in East Harling, perhaps popping in a dog-friendly pub for a pint. Head to Thetford Forest (10.5 miles) for a walk or cycle along beautiful woodland trails with a stop for a packed lunch in one of the scenic picnic areas – don’t forget to pack a bowl and some water for your thirsty canine. If you’re holidaying as a larger group, you may choose to make use of two other properties on the site. These can accommodate up to six more humans and two canine chums.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
