This gorgeous 13th-century manor house sits within extensive pastureland and woodland and offers a real sense of history - it was even mentioned in the Domesday Book. Sleeping two guests in one bedroom and welcoming up to two four-legged-friends, this is the perfect property for couples or friends who want to get away from it all and enjoy the endless walks that are available right from the doorstep. Surrounded by fields, there are lots of great trails that offer stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean and Lundy Island. And your pups are sure to enjoy the freedom of the property’s enclosed patio, as well as the thoughtful welcome pack of homemade doggy treats!

Set in a complex of three cottages, this tastefully decorated property will make you and your pack feel at home in no time. Step inside and you’ll find a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Cook a fantastic meal for two in the kitchen area, enjoy a relaxing evening in the cosy lounge area with your pups curled up in front of the woodburner, or head upstairs to the inviting bedroom for a good night’s sleep. In the morning, wake up to far-reaching countryside views from the bedroom and then enjoy an al fresco breakfast in the private fenced courtyard area as your furry pals run free. You can even sample some tasty free-range eggs if the property’s chickens are laying!

Nearby Duckpool Bay (11 miles) is a lovely, uncrowded, dog-friendly beach. Not only can your hounds run along the pebbled shore, but they can enjoy the area’s tranquil woodland. Tintagel Castle (15 miles) welcomes dogs on leads, so you can learn all about the legend of King Arthur with your trusty canines at your side.

Everything you could want in the cottage and very comfortable, you will have to drive everywhere as there is nothing in walking distance. The internet doesn't work in the cottage, but does outside, this wasn't a big problem for us. If you want rural and quiet this is the place for you.

What a wonderful little cottage. Affording privacy, yet able to chat to the dog friendly guests. Debbie, the owner, was fantastic and checked in most days to see if we needed anything else.

Our stay with our two dogs was lovely. Be prepared to drive out for nearest pub, shop ect, but it's a sacrifice worth making for the beautiful location. The only noise are the birds and occasional lamb bleating. Cottage is super clean and has everything you could need. Very central to lots of things to do, Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bodmin moor, JaRead moremaica Inn, Widemouth beach, Crackington Haven and of course the spectacular coastal path walks all within a 40 minute drive. Can't wait to return. Hide

Weve just returned from a fabulous Easter stay at Goonbell Cottage. What a delight! We were greeted on arrival, directed where to park and pointed to our accommodation. Parking is just a few steps from the property on gravel which made unloading v easy..The cottage has a small private gated area to the front with grass, patio with table and a couplRead moree of chairs. Inside everything was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable - everything you need for a perfect stay. Loved all the birds! Hide
