We had a great holiday. The house is spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. Loved the piano. The games room went down well with the younger family members. The garden is beautiful and parking is good. Nearby pub (with food) and village shop are handy.

We stopped as a group of 10 people (plus a dog and a baby) for New Year and we had a fantastic time. The house is so characterful and very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the visit to Whitakers gin distillery, and the walk to Pateley Bridge. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful Christmas with the family at Gate Eel Farmhouse. The house was comfortable and warm, and there was plenty of space for all 9 of us to be together or spending time doing our own thing in the house. In addition to the two tv rooms there were loads of board games and books etc. We spent most of the daytime outside enjoying the many Read morelovely walks and amazing views. Lovely old farmhouse with plenty of space for a large group of people. Great location. Toasty warm in November with a real fire in the sitting room, an Aga in the kitchen and underfloor heating. Well equipped.

Lovely holiday accommodation, well equipped with everything we needed. Great location, just a shame the pub in the village doesnt allow dogs. The house is perfect for a group of friends/family as a good configuration of bedrooms and bathrooms. Will definitely be back and explore more of the local area.

A very comfortable and well equipped house - perfect for our large family of 8 adults + 2 dogs, and lovely to come back to after the family completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. We also really appreciated the owner's flexibility in allowing us to leave later the next day when we were all so tired.

Beautiful house, warm and cosy, well equipped and very comfy beds and nice linen. The owners allowed us to check in early and leave later as they had no guests checking straight in which was very welcome to our group. Would Definately stay again and recommend to friends.

This house is absolutely gorgeous, we all slept incredibly well and loved our time spent at the property. The kitchen is gorgeous and the utensils and crockery were perfect. A lovely family property in a fabulous location. I dont think there was anything missing though we only ate breakfast at Gate Eel. I did spot an enormous slow cooker in the utility room and Id love to cook a meal in the Aga, maybe next time. We were entertained by group members giving a piano recital! Lots of walks and pubs with Rippon, KnaresborouRead moregh and Harrogate near enough for a culture fix. Close enough to Bront country and Ilkley Moore. Hide

We rented the cottage as a family from 2 to 70 years old to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had a lovely weekend and the farmhouse with its large but cosy kitchen with an aga, the lovely dining room with the piano, its historical ambience and its facilities made for a memorable weekend. This is a stunning home with lots of character and obviously loved by its owners. The owner was very attentive offering to help wherever or whenever needed albeit no help was required during our stay. Great location for visiting the sites including Harrogate and York plus plenty of beautiful villages locally too.

Gate Eel Farmhouse is set in a beautiful location with lots of walks close by. Easy access to most places of interest. We enjoyed being able to sit on the patio in the evenings listening to the country sounds. The cottage is comfortable and has everything to make your holiday complete.
