This delightful 18th Century thatched farmhouse, built from “red brick in raking Flemish bond", is perfect for those looking for a family or group holiday in Dorset. Situated just under three miles from the bustling market town of Bridport.
This impressive property sleeps nine guests and three furry pals, making it the perfect location for family gatherings or getaways with friends. You’ll be less than 4 miles from the Jurassic Coast, where you’ll find dramatic coastal walks, beautiful dog-friendly beaches and picturesque coastal resorts. In the evening, relax in style under the stars in the luxurious hot tub.
The farmhouse cleverly mixes contemporary hues of pink and coral with elegant original features, such as the exposed beams and stone floors. The spacious farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room has a cosy open fire, making it the ideal spot for the hounds to set up camp. The cosy sitting room features large comfy sofas and plush furnishings, so you can all sit back and unwind around the wood burner after a full day of exploration. Alternatively, while away the hours in the games room or fire up the BBQ and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the terrace.
There’s no need to get in the car to stretch the hounds’ legs, as there are numerous walks from the doorstep across the rolling countryside. However, if you do fancy venturing a little further, why not head to Eype Beach (4 miles away)? The secluded beach is dog friendly all year and sits beneath the towering peak of Golden Cap. From here, you can follow the South West Coast Path for 1.5 miles to the popular resort of West Bay. Although dogs aren’t allowed on the beach in summer, you’ll still enjoy pottering around the harbour and exploring the locations made famous by the ITV drama Broadchurch. On Saturdays, the nearby town of Bridport (2 miles away) hosts a bustling farmers’ market. There’s always a great atmosphere and it’s a fantastic opportunity to try some great local produce.
