This luxurious property in rural North Devon sleeps ten guests and one four-legged friend. Located on the wild and rugged Hartland Peninsula, you’ll have access to a multitude of spectacular walks guaranteed to get Rover’s tail wagging and you reaching for your camera. Pick up the South West Coast Path approximately 4 miles from the cottage and stride out towards the seaside resort of Bude or around the headland to the quaint fishing village of Clovelly.
The warm and inviting cottage is full of character and charm, thanks to its fabulous exposed beams and original stonework. The cosy lounge has ample seating for everyone, so after a tiring walk snuggle into the inviting sofas, with your favourite canine pal stretched out in front of the wood burner. The pup will probably set up camp in the spacious kitchen/diner, where there’s access to the garden and hard floors to make dealing with muddy pawprints nice and easy. Outside, there’s a delightful private enclosed garden, where the hound can doze in the sunshine, as well as a shared lawn.
The stretch of the South West Coast Path that passes through Hartland is renowned as one of the toughest, but those who take on the challenge are rewarded with breathtaking scenery, glimpses of rare wildlife and pure escapism. Lose yourself in the wilderness on the section from Hartland Quay to Clovelly (10 miles), before treating yourself to a pint of cider and a crab sandwich as you watch the boats bobbing in the pretty harbour. For something equally as exhilarating, take the group to The Milky Way Adventure Park (6.5 miles). Four-legged visitors are allowed in most of the outdoor areas, so can spectate from behind their paws as you test your nerve on the rides and rollercoasters.
