Exuding charm and style throughout, this unique former Coastguards’ cottage in Aldwick offers all the pleasures of a traditional seaside break. Sleeping four people over three bedrooms and welcoming one canine companion, it’s the perfect accommodation option for small families or romantic couples that want to get away from it all to enjoy some seaside tranquillity with their pup by their side.
Kick off your day with breakfast at one of the two seating areas in the property’s secluded front courtyard. Or, if you’re feeling energetic, go for a workout in the property’s mini-gym. After a day exploring the Sussex coastline, return to your cottage and treat yourself to a glass of wine in the conservatory, which enjoys the afternoon sun all year round. Cook dinner for your loved ones in the light and bright kitchen, and eat together at the table in the living room/diner. Alternatively, head out to the patio area in the rear garden and dine alfresco. The garden is enclosed, so your pup can run free while you eat. After dinner, soak up what’s left of the evening sun, or head indoors and curl up on a sofa to watch your favourite TV shows. When the day is done there are three lovely bedrooms to choose from upstairs.
Dogs are welcome all year round at Aldwick Beach (100 metres), so grab your pup and enjoy. Alternatively, take your faithful friend for a stroll around the lovely Hotham Park, where there are 9 hectares of historic parkland to explore. The cute cafe there is dog-friendly too. Or let your pup stretch their legs at Bersted Brooks (4 miles). Your pup is sure to love running free through the long grass and reeds there.
